As with most of MoDo's columns, the comments are far more entertaining than the column itself.

"He was wrong. And he's been humbled. Clearly. But to invoke a fitting cliche, beware the fury of a patient man. I believe a second Obama term will be a colossal fight for the soul of this country and the very survival of our democracy. And I can't think of a candidate who is now more battle tested, driven and prepared to wage it. "

"Could it be the changes are so profound that we just can't see them yet?"

"I share your blame, Maureen. I should have written more often to Barack and Saxby, but I especially overlooked my cordial correspondence with John Lewis. It was all my fault about the Greek columns, though. Next time I'm in Washington I will work it all out, I promise."

"But in Obama's case, I think he is able to acknowledge and learn from his mistakes.

I "hope" so as he is "our" only "hope." I just can't imagine Romney/Ryan and their gang caring or even understanding the problems of the lower middle class, of which I am a member. "
