From what I've read, Arabs usually write like that. Also they work from such a sense of inferiority and such a consciousness of the deference due to Islam that when a Daniel Pipes points out that the Islamists commit their crimes in the name of Islam, that's "smear" enough. Americans do convert to Islam, particularly African-Americans. Including American women. With 145,000 troops stationed over there, I'd be surprised if there were NO conversions, particularly when it's a requirement to get hitched to a local girl or guy.
