Wow, Scott, PC's Mag's June 24th issue? Over here, we're still
back in June 4,1997! Quick, how stands COSFF the 24th?...

Granted, arrogance, bullying and hype don't make anyone
want to love Microsoft OR Gates, shareholders excluded.
Still, when trying to make a decision on where to invest,
I just don't think it's a healthy idea to base decisions on
either hate or love for Microsoft.

That's not to say that a love for Microsoft is not, generally
speaking, a healthier attitude than a hate when investing...
For instance, I can imagine NSCP holders getting worried that
Gates, even though he "got caught behind enemy lines" as you put
it, is going to cause them extensive damage with free top-quality
products.

And don't be sure he won't pull off a similar trick with the NC.

Incidentally, I remember Dvorak referring to NC's as "a dopey
concept", even predicting they'd go down as the "turkey of the
decade". He surely won't be praising Office for Java anytime soon...

Anyway, let's try to stay objective.
