Shahn,

Rhapsody has to be a lot cheaper than Sun Solaris in order to break
into enterprise/department workstation market. Data shown on Apple's
server prices have extremely lower than 25k, which was Sun Ultra's
price. On hardware aspect, Umax has demostrated CHRP's super speed,
thus, as long as the porting from Sun OS to Rhapsody (both use BSD
Unix version) is as easy as 1,2,3, then Rhapsody will be popular when
it's available. Based on my experience, the porting should be no
major barrier at all.

Tell you the true, Apple now is more attrative to Sun than 18 months
ago when Sun jokingly made a bid on Apple. Well, Apple right now is
sleeping with Microsoft, who is trying its best to beat Sun Micro on
Java, internet, intranet, etc. Gee, I don't know who will be the
final winner in the competition, but I am pretty sure today's Apple
is absolutely not yesterday's.

IHMO
