Mark: FRAM needs that kind of good news.

However one of the world's electronic giants is casting a developing EEPROM shadow on FRAM. Have a look at:

www-eu.semiconductors.philips.com

Have we been too cavalier in thinking that there would be a natural evolution away from EEPROM and towards FRAM's superior performance? Perhaps there is an analogy with the 747 and Concorde's superior performance. Which would I like to fly Sydney to London in? I'd prefer 13 hours to 24 hours. But which do I actually use?

Of course there is more to performance than speed, and let's hope that is where the analogy breaks down.

By the way, I have looked at Omnitech on ASX and like what I see. Have taken a few for my bottom drawer (the drawer labelled EEPROM, which is smaller than my drawer labelled FRAM). Dan - I'm a believer, but want a bet both ways.

Cheers, RichardW.
