What is not true, it seems, is that the American public has the level of critical thinking skill that you and I do.

The American public in general aren't news nerds like us. ;)

Which is personally why the whole media bias blah blah gets to me. False information once imparted is hard to correct. The media have a certain responsibility to get the facts straight, because people often only hear the facts once, darkly.
