Good reasoning michael97123. I have told all of my friends now for some months that Cheney is no sure thing for the VP slot. And as you note, McCain would strengthen the ticket immeasurably. However, I still do not expect Cheney to be jettisoned. The only thing that would keep him off the ballot would be a recurrence of his heart problems. Then it would be easy to accomplish an honorable switch at the top. Meanwhile, I have ordered my BUSH/CHENEY bumper stickers and signs for the 2004 election. I can easily exchange them should the ticket undergo fine tuning.
