Yes, in fact Bob just recently raced at Reno, and in the process, gave us all quite a scare. Bob is the pilot of a highly modified P-51D called "Voodoo" (formerly "Voodoo Chile"). In the Gold heat race on Saturday, he had the left elevator trim tab tear off, and take the elevator control with it! The plane then violently pitched up, pegging the G-meter at over 10 G's and leaving Hannah unconscious at full throttle. Thankfully, he recovered and got the plane safely back on the ground. Bob was one of the Gold race favorites before this incident, as he qualified first this year at over 452mph. I hope to see him back next year. The airplane is owned by Bob Button of Button Transportation.
