While GE and MO are, indeed, more diversified than INTEL, I am NOT SURE that the risk is greater here, at least not that much greater. The PC is the automobile of the 1990s. I suspect that we are where the car was in 1920...they are common, but the average "Joe" still isn't on board! Is it likely that people will "just stop" buying PCs? No way...just like people wouldn't stop buying cars. Even during our darkest financial hour, the Depression, the auto manufacturers still were able to sell enough new metal to stay in business till better times arrived. The PC is revolutionizing mankind...people aren't gonna quit buying. Sure, sales will ebb and flow, but not stop.
