I have been looking at Imation since I saw the SmartMoney article. I'm not an owner yet, but probably will be soon.
I happened to visit an orthapedic doctor last week and asked him if he knew anything about the DryView system. He said no, but would be interested as he doesn't like the wet chemicals associated with X-rays... toxic etc. I sent him a copy of the SmartMoney article and he called over to the local hospital. He found out that there is a DryView system there; surprised me since this is a town of 6500 out in the Maine woods. Anyways the radiologist there told him that it is a significant advance.
I noticed in a posting regarding earnings in October it was stated that there were over 3000 DryView systems sold. The last quarter earnings announcement stated that there were over 4000 systems sold. And also that for the first time the sales of film exceeded the sales of the units. I don't know what would be special about the film if these systems are outputting through a laser printer, except perhaps for a need to be transparent and oversize. Anyhow, the ability to generate repeat business after the initial unit sale has to be good.

I appreciate everyone's past comments on the thread.
