I hope this isn't overkill everyone but besides the Bramson purchase of 400K shares at 6.875, I thought the following language from the 3Q 10-Q was significant:

Accordingly, Ampex has
now approached three manufacturers of hard disk drives that have significant
shares of the desktop disk drive market to determine their interest in
commencing a commercial product program incorporating keepered media. Ampex is
currently holding discussions and negotiations with these and other disk drive
manufacturers, but it is not possible at present to forecast whether any of
these companies, or others that Ampex may approach in the future, will, in
fact, undertake such a commercial product program.

Contrasted to the language used in the 2Q 10-Q:

As disclosed in the Company's March 1996 Form 10-Q, the Company has
not yet had substantive discussions with any hard disk drive maker relating to
potential purchases of keepered media, or other commercial arrangements.

Now not only is Ampex having discussions, they are HOLDING NEGOTIATIONS.

I think this is very significant.
