RE: "...the news from Intel..." I disagree with INTC's CEO. There will be Christmas this year! I recently bought a $1159 HP laptop wih an AMD Athlone XP processor. I have never used anything but INTC processors in my PCs at work or at home, before (except Amiga in 1986-87). The low cost of the PC left a budget for a wireless network to connect 3 computers to DSL and a memory upgrade for a 2 year old laptop from 64MB to 256MB. I wonder if INTC's outlook reflects continuing competition and falling prices and if INTC is losing its value as a bellweather.
