>>You now have a medical doctor who needs to spend her patient's valuable time discussing her investments. And what does she do. She posts this very important announcement on the IOM thread that she had a discussion with some non-management employee who knows someone who says that there are problems with Click. Posting any discussion on the Internet that would potentially reveal your patient's identity is a serious violation of patient physician confidentiality and Dr. othstein is a disgrace to her profession who needs to be reported to Canadian authorities.<<

Jock -

Clearly, you didn't read Sheila's post very carefully.

1 - She identified her patient as someone who "works for Nikon." That doesn't narrow it down much, if I wanted to identify a specific person. I don't see how that violates doctor/patient confidentiality.

2 - The patient did not mention Nikon having any problem with Clik!, but with digital photography in general.

3 - When I see my doctor, we chat about all kinds of things, while the examination proceeds. I don't consider this a waste of my time.

Jock, you are certainly entitled to any opinion you may have about Iomega, but I believe you are way off base attacking Sheila Rothstein.
