My most recent statement from Waterhouse included a detailed caveat, warning people that a volatile market can result in errors on quotes, delays in getting confirmations, and delays in getting orders filled, even market orders.

It's not just E*Trade.

Of course, the problems that daytraders have are directly related to the type of trading they do. If they would only buy and hold, the timing wouldn't make as much of a difference <g>. If the accuracy and timing are THAT important, they should use a regular broker. You get what you pay for.
