mnm, howls at the arctic moon? matted feathers dust the corners and ledges of my drifting days, the occasional sigh passes unmentioned. my absentminded gaze out the kitchen window sketches the horizon into an untamed outline against the twilight, interrupted by a figure. the mind details the lone silhouette with skull of wiry hair and a savage long snout upended in a howl at the arctic moon. a skipped heartbeat goes un-noticed as the eyes refocus on the streaked windowpane. now the mind is momentarily blank. a slight cramp inches down a leg. he turns from the kitchen sink to the stove and stirs the soup, oblivious of the quickened moment. ghunk
