"You want to know where the litter is produce: does not matter"
"You want to know the name of the litter plant: does not matter"

Actually, that information does matter.

It matters because the kitty litter, part of the revenue generating capability of CSHK, is a commodity that must be produced. If the producer is not capable of producing sufficient quantities, then CSHK cannot meet their projected demand. This would decrease revenues, and sooner or later affect the stock price. Another reason that it is important information is that if the supplier is not sound financially, the eventual failure of that company would affect CSHK stock ... and stockholders' well being.

So, it does matter. Not to me. I wouldn't know what to do with the information if I had it. But, some people dig into that stuff and find strengths and/or weaknesses. They make their investment decisions based on it.

Re: to Jhild: "I'm laughing at you so hard I'm crying"

I'm not exactly sure what it is that you're laughing at. If you're laughing because jhild said something humorous, then I missed it. I see nothing funny about thorough DD. It's pretty serious stuff.
