The next one in line for a downline for AOL is Premier Travel, wait for its IPO. I think the lead underwriter is H&Q. (ring a bell?).

Going back a couple of decades ago: any new company with Computer as part of the name would dictate a premium price, and its IPO was oversubscribed. Some even suggested that if Kentucky Fried Chicken would change its name to Kentucky Fried Computer, the price of the stock would quadruple. In this decade, anything with the smell of Internet would command high prices. Remember Coleco, Atari, etc?

Learning from history, this exhuberance will not last either. PE of over 100 and Brian Oakes keep reiterating of its buy ratings (did not make into a major news item) is just mind bugling.
