OIL may not go up much on Monday.

They have started to pump oil again in Venezuala. Maybe OPEC will not break down as many had hoped when Chavez was removed...but at least oil production is starting in that country after several days of strikes.

I doubt that oil will make a significant move upward Monday. I had actually at first thought it would but now believe only a deterioration in the middle east could do that.

Of course, it also depends upon the amount of bearish bets made on oil and oil stocks last week. My guess is that oil stocks were the favorite short out there last week.

btw--after the events in Venezuala, maybe Chavez will also adopt a more balanced policy; usually a leader's first interest is to stay in power. The market may start to factor into the oil stocks as well.
