Bob; Any one who knew the ranking from real world experience would be able to sort the set. However to make the rankings optimal they should be self explanatory. I know they want to minimize the load on people, so they put minimal data up on the screen for graphics reasons. I think they want people to page forward 2-3 times so they get banner hits before you see the explanation. Notice the lack of banners on SI?. Some threads are designed so that you are wasting endless keystrokes to force you to view banners, just to follow the thread. One reason for the success of SI(for how long??)
What if they had 5 machines all with the same CPU/memory, and so they cannot be rated from experience, they should then explain the terms of the race course, it is a time trial or an distance trial?
