One of the things I hope happens in this debate, that I didn't see happen enough in the last debate is every time Obama, or the moderator, bring up a point regarding the "proposed Romney budget", shift the answer toward what Obama and company have actually done the past 4 years.
In other words, stop defending what if made up arguments the left comes up with, and discuss Obama's reality.
- Nearly 3 years without a budget passed. Obama's budget voted down 97-0 and 414-0. "That shows failed leadership!"
- 1-2 trillion dollar budgets as far as the eye can see.
- Debt surpassing 16 trillion dollars, when a few years ago Obama called the debt unamerican.
- With trillions spent, unemployment still high with no end in sight.
- Obamacare costing trillions! Make the statement, if we just stop Obamacare we'll save the country trillions of dollars.
- Yes, boards of unelected officials are important to point out, but what about all the other provisions of Obamacare? Talk about the penalties if you don't pay. Talk about putting people in jail and the fines. Talk about the legislation forcing Catholic Charities to perform abortions, hand out condoms and so forth. Talk about how it removes the separation of church and state. Dig into the details and hit point after point with specificity.
- Energy, HAMMER the pipeline issue, the lack of drilling, the cost of sending hundreds of billions of dollars overseas to foreign interests in the middle east who will eventually control America's destiny. State "America should control our own destiny, we have the knowledge, we have the skill, we have the energy resources, what we don't have is a government that gets out of the way".
- And he should mention 5 dollar gas a half a dozen times and point out what it is doing to the American family. Use real anecdotes describing how moms and dads have to drive kids to cheer-leading practice and football practice and the cost of gas is killing family budgets, not to mention all the small businesses that depend on driving from one customer to another.
Bottom line; Energy, Budget, Debt, Failed leadership, Obamacare.
Stick to them and point every debate question answer in that direction. That's how you crush these idiots on the left. Hit them with facts, remind the American people of their failure, and repeat over and over. |
