It seems 2000-3000 bucks per person from SBC is enough to buy support from the House members. The funny one was Hastert, who is one of the biggest recipients of SBC money (sort of like contract employees of SBC, I guess you could say...performing a "service" for compensation). He didn't even bother voting since it was such a blow-out. Probably he figures he needs the option of being able to say "hey, I didn't vote for that piece of yit" at some later date.

See if your company has a couple hundred grand laying around to fund T-D rejection votes from senators. Could probably write it off as broadband network maintenance fees<ggg>.
