Hi X-Ray Man, sure linux and sunos also allow attatchments
as I stated in my post (for years) but its a pain to use.
Hey, it may not `seem' like a big deal but this is where
vision is all. Its precisely `ergonomics' or the way everything
works intiutively without hassle which boost your productivity
and makes you fall in love with an os, and this particular
(I would say) `quantum leap' is not just in one
application but a philisophy of `object orientation' that
runs throughout NeXT. In practice it means things like the user
relates directly to the data in its `human form' (eg a picture
is a picture and NOT a postcript or jpeg or whatever file, all files type conversions
etc are done invisibly). This is my sort of interpretation
but it runs throughout the NeXT UI. OK, I'll shut up about NeXT
for a while.

Have fun, all
