Personally, I'm not a fan of the feature.

My policy is to determine who has me on ignore

I really like it when they get mad, and tell me I am being put on ignore. It allows you to Logically reply to any mistakes in their posts, and in theory they never know what you said, thus the argument goes in a way they hadn't expected, and people think they have no answer to what you said..... Ignore is a wonderful feature for those of us who want to use it.....
