Challenge to health reform supporters still unmet - I don't think you have an answer to the questions below (raised by Thomas Sowell) but lets find out:

If the urgency to pass the legislation were to deal with a problem immediately, then why postpone for years the date when the legislation would go into effect — specifically, until the year after the next presidential election?

If this is such an desperately needed program, why wait for years to put it into effect? And if the public is going to benefit from this, why not let them experience those benefits before the next presidential election?


If the reforms are desirable and even needed, why delay their taking effect till after the next Presidential election? Its obvious this fact shows Obama knows the plan he's pushing is horrible. If it were good, he'd want to run for re-election on having provided it to the people.

One liberal tried denying there was going to be a delay. Another tried claiming the 3 year delay is necessary. The government just can't do anything faster than that. Is that the best you guys can do?
