What is amazing is how GW became a poitical issue with the right wing defending big oil. Big oil loves it of course and knows they can fool the right wing.

It is exactly what Lee Atwater's southern strategy was all about. Fool the southerners by appealing to the three G's: guns, god and gays and hate for the liberals.

And sure as hell the right wing took the bait. The whole reason the south used to be all blue states, democratic, (dixiecrats) for so long was that the dem party was the party of unions.

And right here on this thread you have all these right wingers fawning over Raygun, who was a hard core union buster bought and paid for by his corporate backers and started by making an example of the air traffic controllers.

So now few auto plants in the south are union and they make sub par wages and since raygun, unionization (the folks who protect the workers) has been beaten down from 35% to 12%.

Rich wrote about this in his book "what is wrong with kansas" i.e. people voting against their own interests.

In the south they were more interested in hating liberals, who ironically have always been trying to protect them from the corportists, than earning a living wage.

I guess-lol?
