"How many people out there think MSFT will miss their earnings projection?"

MSFT almost definitely will NOT miss their earnings projections. If they do, PANIC!!! However, I believe that they will have to apply some "flexible accounting", using just enough non-operating revenues to make up for their operating earnings shortfall. You will have to look more deeply than usual into the numbers to see their problems.

Also, look at their guidance. When things were good, MSFT always issued bland to negative guidance. Since things have started to slow down, MSFT has begun to sound uncharacteristically optimistic in its guidance.

In short, I expect MSFT to meet the numbers, albeit with a little accounting prestidigitation, and I expect their forward guidance to be irrationally positive.
