I life I always ask what something is going to cost..
Don't understand what the price of QP1 has to do with price of QP2,
in your mind..

Dick, it is heartening to see the level of support the thread has for this product, but your comments clearly come from the point of view of someone who is already familiar with the product and service and cannot see that this is not a QP1 versus QP2 issue, nor is it a discussion of what would be a reasonable price for the new product and service.

As I stated, I was investigating software products and ran across this one through recommendations. I do not have QP1 and was not clear that they were shipping QP2 and had changed pricing for both the software and service. The web site implies QP2 is not shipping yet. (From the web site: "We're almost ready to release version 2.0 of the Quotes Plusr software.")

I have looked only at the more recent posts to SI, many of which revolve around problems with the product. I did not see any discussion of pricing. Regarding your comment about asking the price, I was actually staring at the pricing screen while ordering!

Try this: Think like a new prospective buyer following up on a recommendation. You read the commentary, visit the web page (no online order facility), look at the features, check the pricing and see it is so reasonably priced that it is not necessary to do extensive research to make a decision. While looking at the prices, you call the 800 number and get an order taker who takes your contact information, recommends the 6mos discount, then reads you the total amount which is twice your expectation.

If you don't think this is misleading, show me the places on their site saying the prices will go up or where the correct price is displayed. Here is the QP2 page... at the bottom is "Pricing". Good luck.

P.S. What is really disheartening, is that Gary still has not responded nor has he corrected the web page.
