The trouble with Java is mainly the fact that it is chasing a fast moving target. Wintel will continue to improve, as it has in the past, irrespective what the fringe elements have to say about bugs, etc. Corel is trying to create a new dynasty: new operating system, new software, new hardware, all the while trying to make money in the Windows environment. If they succeed they will be big. The other alternative is bankruptcy. In may opinion Corel is trying to do too much with too little. Short term gains will be followed by sickening plunges.
