A fundamentalist?? Whisper that to me next time! :)

My top vote goes to "The Visual Investor" by John Murphy. A more structured lesson type of book that is also good is "The Technical Analysis Course" by Thomas Meyers. The book by Murphy is very well written and clear, and also covers an introduction to intermarket analysis, the analysis of sectors and industry groups, and using TA fwith mutual funds. This Meyers book also covers an introduction to point and figure charting and candlesticks, discusses TA use with stocks, options, and commodities, and ends up in a case study.

There is a book out by Stan Weinstein called "Secrets for Profiting in the Bull and Bear Markets". I personally find this book to have some interesting observations and worthwhile information, but I also found it to be rather ambiguous and misleading in the presentation of some of the concepts of TA. However, I found this book to be a lighter read than the other two books that I have listed above.
