CyberFax is DCI's proprietary real-time internet fax service that the company is rolling out on a global scale. The Cyberfax network will initially be set up at company-owned sites in premium cities and expanded with the use of agents and franchises worldwide. Although supplier shortages contributed to a slowdown of the rollout, substitute components have since been tested and the result was a higher degree of overall product reliability. Combined with several new traffic agreements, this fully supports our expectations of achieving "billable" minutes in April.
Cyberfax is a major participant in the activities of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and is a member of the ITU Study Group which is drafting the T.38 standard for fax over the internet. Not only does CyberFax's active participation increase its credibility, it positions CyberFax to be a pioner and market leader in the further deployment of real-time fax over Internet Protocol (IP)
technologies.
