If we got rid of our Cuban phobias, maybe the prostitutes could be working in tourist resorts? A lot of them already are. Tourism is a decent sized industry in Cuba, and the tourists have hard currency to give to the prostitutes. Very few Americans visit because of the trade embargo, but lots of non-Americans. Overall I'd be for lifting the embargo, I'm usually for making trade as free as possible. The embargo would be worth it if it was effective, but it hasn't been and I don't see any sign that it will be.
