The bottom line is, GeeDubya makes Dan Quayle look like Einstein. The Shrub's beady little eyes are just too damn close together. Not much activity there. I lean to the left on some of the social issues, but I'd damn well vote for a Republican president if the relative intelligence of the two candidates were reversed, and the dummy was the Democrat. I have zero confidence that W. can make spot-on decisions in a crisis. Heck, he admits he only works about 4 hours a day as Governor of Texas, between naps and exercise time. Hasn't read a book in years.

Not that I have any great love for Al G, but I think a lot of the foaming mouth hard right conservative Republicans on this board grossly underestimate the danger of putting the country's reins in the hands of a lightweight know-nothing like George W. Bush.

Gore will win, but it will be close.
