There's also news that he'll make a hawkish cash at the State of the Union speech. It's unfortunate but it's taken an aggressive, hawkish stand by the US to force congress and the UN to act on resolutions for inspections and for Iraq to 'consent' to them. The inspection process is rigged. When the the previous inspections during Clinton's regime started to find weapons, the UN and Iraq inserted Russian inspectors into the group feeding information to the Iraqis. This time, you have Arab inspectors. The token discovery of empty warheads was an attempt by Iraq to try to stretch out the inspections timeline. If they found nothing, the inspectors would be told to just leave and war would start. The mixed messages from other countries are making it more likely that this will go to war. They know the US force isn't in place yet. The next step is the State of the Union address and how Russia, Germany, and France respond to Bush's message. It's up to them to exert pressure on Iraq.
