You got that right. Capacitors are VERY inefficient in stroing energy compared to batteries and much more dangerous in any size that would provide sufficient power for a car.

Touch it? How about a collision with such a car? If it didn't simply explode. it would likely electrocute you. Or firemen trying to put out the fire it caused.

Don't bet on it. It won't be capacitors.
