One of Qwest's (QWST: news, msgs) greatest challenges over the next 12 months will be to keep up with demand for broadband network access. Another challenge will be to begin upgrading US West's infrastructure pending the acquisition, he said. That, and Nacchio wants to make sure his executives can get second phone lines and fast Net access to their homes, something US West has been slow in delivering to residential customers, he said.
