Lizzie, first of all, I use Will-Spread charts to compare futures, indexes and stocks - named for Larry Williams who created the method.
During July, August and September of 2002, SUNW was outperformed by the Nasdaq Composite by a larger margin than ever before. This does not mean that it is the only time that SUNW has been outperformed by the COMPQ.
From 1988 through late 1998, sometimes SUNW outperformed the COMPQ, and sometimes it got outperformed, but never by much. However, from late 1998 (October, actually) through late in the year 2000, SUNW clobbered the COMPQ. And since then, it has all been relatively and steeply downhill. The COMPQ started outperforming SUNW right around the beginning of 2001, and it has been getting relatively worse since then. The last 3 months have been the worst.
I would ask for your e-mail by PM, and send you a chart if I had my new fax machine, But I don't, so you will have to take my word.
