you have got to be joking. The IRS is probably the most inefficient government agency out there. There is really no statute of limitations which applies to assessments, penalties, or interest. Hence, there is no incentive on their part to keep current or to examine returns in a timely fashion. I know of people who have received notices of deficiencies some ten years after the return had been filed. And I am not speaking of fraudulent taxpayers, either. The IRS is a nazi organization within our government. Our forefathers would be rolling over in their graves if they knew how we have tortured our constitution to give legitemacy to the existence and practices of the IRS.
