I agree but want to point out it is good to have a mixture of high and low beta stocks in a portfolio. I think the dividends I get on my original Intel shares from the early 1990s are well over 10% so I have loads of appreciation plus a nice dividend on the original investment. I like trying to buy growth stocks that turn into dividend payers... so good to have a mixture as the dividends pay the bills... and the growth stocks allow you to buy nice, shinny, fast new toys. 8)
