Early Earnings Report? It has been stated, in previous posts, that Novell is releasing their 4th Qtr Earnings Report early. But, are they really? The following information is from Novell's web site. Quarter Ending Press release of earnings. Date Date EPS 1st 01/27/96 02/21/96 $0.17 2nd 04/27/96 05/29/96 $<0.15> 3rd 07/27/96 08/22/96 $0.17 4th 10/26/96 11/26/96 * ? * scheduled ? anybody's guess -- (Mine is: $0.19) Assumptions: $400 million sales * 0.16 / 344 million shares As I view the number of working days, excluding holidays, between the quarter ending date and the press release of earnings date, the time lapse seems pretty consistent. I think the better question to ask is, "Why did Novell consider delaying the earnings report until December?" Comments, anyone?
