182 countries. I admit that was funny that Trump has no idea. But I guess hardly anyone would know there are 200 or have any idea where they all are, their populations, GDP per person, etc.

So in fairness to Big D it's common ignorance. Americans in general are remarkably ignorant. I have thought for decades that it's because USA is so huge, diverse, self contained. But it's also highly egocentric.

Being interested in things, it's easy to think others would know and understand too.

So I cut him slack for ignorance like that. He's in good company.

I wouldn't put it past him to act a bit dumb at times to show how much he's like the average voter who dislikes intellectual snobbery.
