Brian - that Inspiron 5000e is a great laptop. The display is stunning and for getting a bunch of stuff on the screen it can't be beat. Also has hardware assisted DVD which makes viewing moves full screen a snap. That product supports the who;e range of ACPI features. I have a CPQ Armada M300 which is a smaller screen, but is very light - less than 3 Lbs - and less than 1 inch thick. I chose it because I can throw it into an already crammed briefcase no problem. Be sure to get Win2K on whatever laptop you order - you'll be glad you did.
