You clearly know nothing. The chip is meant for business phones that ride on a packet network, moving away from PBX network phones. This is a big accomplishment and will mean alot of dollars for BRCM. In fact, the biggest player in the IP phone market right now is Cisco, so this will benefit Cisco and BRCM both.
