SOme highlights from the sneak preview:
Next, he dragged various images (jpeg, png, pict, even bmp) into the TextEdit document and they all appeared right the re. And everything scrolled live -- VERY smoothly -- even with four huge images, kerning, and kanji characters in this TextEdit document. Oh, that was the other thing, he typed in TextEdit in Japanese Kanji characters. Then he selected all of the text (including Kanji) and one of the images, went to the Services menu at the top of the screen, and chose an item which "sent" everything to the Mail application. Everything appeared seamlessly in the Mail app.
If there was one complaint during the entire hour and a half, it was that the apps were launching a bit slow. This was explained by the 8 other apps that were running and the fact that two of them were Java apps. |
