Christopher led me to this discussion. How interesting (generally I would keep away from a thread labeled "lets talk about our feelings") Here's one from a 100 % (I think) Libertarian. I dont believe government has ANY business making any laws other than dont kill, maim or destroy property. And those should not be liberally interpreted (i.e. there must be clear hard evidence that someone has been killed maimed or property destroyed, ruling out noise people dont like or views from one's bedroom window changed)... Thus I dont believe in speeding laws or driving licenses or laws.... They are merely ways for an out of control government to have sway over our stuff and our lives. If you can drink and drive well, do it. If you can drive 100 miles per hour (maybe all your driving is done in the middle of the night) and never cause any damage, do it. Government has no business involving itself in our lives. If you drink, drive and hurt someone, now you have inflicted damage, that's different. GOvernment should never EVER be in the "prevention" business. That is one of the things that has caused the lack of choice in our lives and violations of the bill of rights we now face, in the U.S. and in the world. Freeus
