This isn't, as with Bush, a matter of "giving the current strategy time to work". This is an instance of the strategy laying on the table while American soldiers get blown to bits.

Bush contemplated the surge for over 3 months... it was "laying on the table" a lot longer and many more "American soldiers got blown to bits".

Inode it totally FOS. Wingers have made a big thing about this supposed schism between McChrystal and Obama but it turns out it was a tempest in a teapot. The strategy has been in place for a few months and its time for a review. That's all that's happening now. McChrystal has given Obama three options and now Obama must choose.

What has me furious is that things have been going very badly for some time in Afghanistan. I had never read until the last few months that the Taliban under Bush had recaptured most of the country. Forget asking where the Bushies were.....but rather, where was the media? They too seemed to be sleeping on the job. Now we have a resurgent Taliban that controls 80% of the country. We're almost back to the situation in 2001.

Its a crime. Someone from the Bush administration needs to hang!
