STEALTH BUILDINGS... no, not an original term... or, should I say, one that I thought up.

No, lately, it seems that there is a good deal of growling and muttering among the architectural critics about the "inhumanity" of the architecture being thrust upon us...

Insanely long corridors for sick people to have to limp or crawl down to get to the treatment area of hospitals...

Performing arts centers designed to resemble ammunition bunkers... no visible entrances, no signs, no "human scale"......

Truth is, the "human" part of the equation doesn't count anymore...

If it did, we'd see the architects of our misery out there in their wheelchairs or on crutches... trying to negotiate their way from the parking lot to the chemotherapy treatment ward, or the post office service counters...

But they aren't... and so we'll continue to be the recipients of architecture designed by and for goons...
