I guess you are right after all. At this point, I don't think that TXN will be charged royalties for the ASICs. They will get the same royalty treatment as SpinCo, putting the emphasis of royalties on the handsets and base stations. This clears the remaining hurdles for QCOM and Nokia to sign a 3G license.
