I have an unusual insurance scheme.

I get a certain number of dollars per year. Any covered medical expenses come out of those dollars, with no co pay or deductible. If I don't use all the dollars they roll over and get added to the dollar amount for the next year.

Then after that I'm out of pocked 100% for a certain amount.

Then after that I am covered by fairly conventional insurance.

Its an interesting setup, it seems to be set up in such a way as to discourage over use of health care but it does pay for preventive care visits without using up your balance.

Someone else did a better job of describing it. The dollar amounts aren't exactly the same (they vary by employer) but otherwise its correct.
