James, My mother works at a bank that has been fingerprinting check cashing non-customers for a while now, but there is no fingerprint reader involved. They require a person to imprint their finger on one specific corner of check. This is not done with ink, as you can not see the print without a special light. I never thought to ask how they would find the person if the check were fraudulent as they have no data base of prints to work off of. I will check into it. Would appreciate if you could find out how it will be done at Wells Fargo. Thanks , Steve
