As some have heard Textron is building the Marine Corps V-22 Osprey Tilt Rotor Transport to replace a aging fleet of medium and heavy helicopters. The Marine Corps is looking to purchase 364 V-22 by 2010 at 44 million each. The Marine Corps has been funding this project for over 15 years due to the necessity of making us a more viable fighting force. The V-22 has tremendous capabilities that no other aircraft can match. The other armed services are troubled by the projects technology and recent failures. The most recent failure was not mechanically related but possibly contributed to windshear. This a good company with tremendous growth potential when the V-22 project is completely instituted by the Marine Corps. Jim
